Fall Events & Activities in the Brainerd Lakes Area

It’s a magical time of year in the Brainerd Lakes area, and there are plenty of fun activities coming up. We’ve shared them below!

2017 Crosslake Days
Thursday, September 28 – Saturday, September 30

The celebration offers something for all ages including a classic and custom car, motorcycle and tractor show, arts & crafts fair, chili cook-off, kid’s activities, live music and much more. Join us and enjoy this fall festival while taking in the natural beauty of Crosslake, splashed in the glorious autumn colors.

Mount Ski Gull Fall Fundraiser
Thursday, September 28

5:30pm-8:30pm

There will be fabulous food, wine and beer tasting showcasing a wide assortment of food, beers and non-alcoholic beverages. There will be entertainment featuring a silent auction, games, raffles, a kids area and music as well as a amazing ONLINE silent auction that opens on September 21st! Proceeds go to youth programs.

Outdoor Movies at Crosslake Campground – Now Showing: Grease!

7:00pm – 9:00pm

The US Army Corps of Engineers – Crosslake Campground has been the site for outdoor movies in Crosslake this summer, and we’re wrapping up the season for Crosslake Days! Bring a blanket or lawn chairs and enjoy a different family friendly movie to kick off your weekend. There is no charge to attend and water & popcorn will be provided too! All donations are appreciated and will be matched dollar for dollar by the Crosslake Ideal Lions. 100% of the proceeds will be used to enhance the Christmas lights on the Dam and US Army Corps properties.

4th Annual Oktoberfest at Gull Dam Brewing
Saturday, October 7

12pm – 11pm

Come join in celebrating Oktoberfest with live music by Jolly Zuk Brothers and Wyld Rice. There will be a Bavarian costume party. $500 in games and prizes. This is part of the Gull Lake Oktoberfest Pub Crawl.

The 7th Annual Oktoberfest Pub Crawl is October 7, 2017. Cost is $25 and includes… A FREE shuttle service from 2pm-10pm to all locations (The Pines at Grand View Lodge, Zorbaz, Cowboy’s, Jake’s City Grill, Ernies, Side Track, Gull Dam Brewery) A punch card for a 4 oz. sample of Oktoberfest beer at each location. If you complete your punch card you will be entered to win prizes. All proceeds benefit Confidence Learning Center, Soup Kitchen and the Food Shelf. Buy tickets at sponsoring locations

Sponsored by Community Education. Over 150 vendors and attendance is free. Refreshments are available for purchase with proceeds benefiting student scholarship funds.

Ruttger’s Bay Lake Oktoberfest

Friday, October 20
Harvest buffet dinner shows (seating at 5:15 and 7:30 pm. Reservations required.) NEW in 2017! Alpensterne will perform with the Narren of New Ulm at all Friday night seating.
Saturday, October 21
7 – 10 AM – Breakfast buffet (reservations not required.)
10 AM – 4 PM – Arts & Crafts Fair. 160+ booths. Specials at Auntie M’s, the Country Store, The Garage and the Fine Line Salon and Spa at Ruttger’s.
10 AM – 4 PM – Picknic & Unterhaltung (Entertainment) Food and drink (beer garden), two performances by the Concord Singers and Alpensterne. Stilkwalker, balloon twist, moonwalk, Kids’ Kamp Krafts, Kids pedal tractor pull, Narren of New Ulm.
5:30 – 9 PM – Oktoberfest Dinner Buffet (reservations required) Music by Alpensterne
9 PM – Oktoberfest Bingo – Island Ballroom

Halloween Craft and Vendor Show

Come and Shop your favorite stores and vendors at Westgate Mall.

Costume 3K Zombie Fun Run
Saturday, October 28

2pm

Wear your Halloween costume and head for the starting line at Ruttger’s. It’s not a race, but zombies will be chasing you, trying to snatch your “Brains” attached to your race bibs. Each “Brain” is worth a post-race drink, so try your best not to run too slowly. Racers receive a t-shirt!
