2013 is quickly coming to an end, and as we ring in 2014 the housing market for the upcoming year is expected to grow. If you are thinking about buying or selling a home now would be the time to do so. The November number of inventory homes on the market in Crow Wing County remained low; there are 16.1 % fewer homes for sale than there was last year. The days on market dropped as home sell quicker. The average days on market dropped 16.8 % over last year.
This time of year we see a slight slowdown in activity as people prepare for the holidays. The number of pending sales are down 4.2% over last year, and the number of closed sales were down 4.0%. The good news is home values are rising. The average sale price of homes rose 6% to $212,016, and the median sales price rose 6.6% to $159,900.
