Crow Wing County Fair Starts July 30th

The 116th annual Crow Wing County Fair starts this Tuesday July 30th and will run thru August 3rd. More than 100,000 people visit the fair each year. The large crowd the fair draws make it in the top five fairs in the state for attendance. “It’s bumper-to-bumper traffic and elbow-to-elbow in the gates,” said J.D. Grimsley, general manager of the Crow Wing County Fair.

With the large number of people returning each year it makes you wonder what it is that makes them keep coming back. Many will say it is because the fair has something to offer everyone from great food, contests, horse shows, animals, 4-H exhibits, musical entertainment, big engine shows, and bull riding which draws the biggest crowd.

There will be more than 2,500 exhibitors and vendors at the fair this year. The grounds have been updated this year with new blacktop which will allow for easier handicapped access to the horse barn and arena according to Grimsley.

Admission to the fair is free but you will need to pay for parking.
