When the weather turns cold and snow begins to fall there are many Minnesota residents who are ready to hit the trails and go snowmobiling. The Minnesota United Snowmobiler Association had their 2013 MNUSA Winter Rendezvous at Cragun’s Resort on Gull Lake this past weekend. The event drew anywhere from 300 to 400 eager snowmobilers from various clubs across the state of Minnesota. The Crow Wing County Snowmobile Trails Association, made up of 10 clubs in Crow Wing County and 2 clubs in Southern Cass County, hosted the event.
Brainerd is home to many snowmobile trails making it the perfect place for the rendezvous. Throughout the state of Minnesota there are over 22,000 miles of snowmobile trails. There were numerous activities throughout the weekend that showcased the wonderful trails that Brainerd Lakes has to offer. A Silent auction, hospitality reception, fireworks display and bonfire were a few of the many events that took place during the weekend long event.
