Start your Halloween weekend off right with the annual Crosslake Monster Dash 5K which is scheduled for October 27th and the Crosslake Community Center and it is quickly approaching. The terrain is flat and fast providing runners the opportunity to set a new personal record. Participants and volunteers are encouraged to come to the event dressed in their best Halloween costumes. There will be a variety of prizes awarded at the event.
The Monster Dash is sponsored this year by Moonlite Bay, Crosslake Drug and the Parks and Library (PAL) Foundation. The event is family friendly and there will be free childcare available to children between the ages of 4 thru 10 during the race.
The events of the day will start at 8:30 am with registration followed by the children’s Spirit Sprint at 9:30 am. This ghoulishly fun children’s race is for children between the ages of 4 thru 10. Supervised children’s activities will begin at 9:45am in the Community Center. The annual Monster Dash 5K will begin at 10:15 am sharp. Registrants of the event will be given a long sleeve shirt, refreshments and the opportunity to win various prizes.
Proceeds from the event will go to the Park and Library Foundation of Crosslake, which is a 501(c)3 non-profit who supports parks, recreation and library services for the greater Crosslake area. Online registration for the event is available at zapevent.com or you can also register in person at the Crosslake Community Center.
