School is out and the days are getting longer, which means more and more Crow Wing County residents are spending more time outdoors. If you are looking for a place outdoors in Crow Wing County to enjoy look no further than the Paul Bunyan Trail. Did you know the longest paved bike trail in Minnesota sits in our backyard? At 112-miles long the Paul Bunyan Trail connects the Heartland Trail, the Blue Ox Trail, and the Cuyuna State trail. When fully complete this trail will stretch 120 miles long, and will extend from Crow Wing State Park to Lake Bemidji State Park.
112 paved miles provides many exciting outdoor activities and adventures to be had from hiking, biking, and roller-blading. You can also find along the trail places to bike-in camp and also bicycle rentals. The trail has something to offer everyone from flat areas to rolling hills and scenic views. Throughout the trail you will find many places you can stop and rest and just take in the lovely views of nature around you. There are also a few resorts and hotels along the trail.
Do not forget about the trail this upcoming winter. It makes for a perfect place to get out your snowmobile and enjoy a trip. Get out and enjoy Crow Wing County.
