Summer is quickly coming to an end and kids are heading back to school. However, that does not mean the housing market has to wind down. In fact, now is the perfect time to buy or sell a home in Crow Wing County.
In July the housing marketing Crow Wing County experienced a great month. The number of new home listings was up 33.9 percent over July of last year and the number of pending sales was up 2.4 percent year-over-year.
Now is the perfect time to sell your Crow Wing County home as they are selling quickly. The number of days on the market is down 12.8 percent over this time last year. The median price of homes in our area has rose by 10.3 percent to $161,550 and the average sales price has increased drastically by 16 percent over the last year to $234,233. Not only are homes selling for more and moving quickly sellers are receiving on average 93.2 percent of their original asking price, which is up 2.7 percent from last year.
There is still a decrease in the number of homes on the market. There are buyers out there looking to buy their dream home in Crow Wing County but they are faced with the challenge of finding it as the number of inventory homes for sale is down 9.2 percent over last year and the months supply of homes for sale is down 8.1 percent over last year.
